- A short note on chemicals that may be carcinogenic. Studies are
- typically done on animal models. There are very few substances that
- have been shown to be carcinogenic in humans. Unfortunately, I don't
- think there is much evidence that that you can extrapolate from
- animal studies to humans. It has been assumed that you can, but...
- I guess it is not uncommon to find that a substance causes cancer in
- rats, but not in dogs, or it will in guinea pigs, but not in mice, etc.
