  28. The concept behind scraping the pipe is that when you burn grass the smoke
  29. will congeal within the pipe, leaving behind tarry deposits like cresote
  30. that contain carcinogens and thc - burning smoke on a bed of resin is 
  31. preferable, so only scrape the actual bowl lightly. Since the pipe may 
  32. become clogged if you do not clean it, this gives you a good excuse to 
  33. reuse the extra resin in the aforementioned manner. Resin smoke is a lot
  34. harder on the lungs than fresh bud, however. Take it easy.
