- It's not the "effort" per se that is required to have a lucid dream, but
- the desire to have one. In your case, you had a desire to remember your
- dreams and that obviously was enough to induce a lucid dream at the same
- time.
- The reason why a lot of us talk about having to make a concerted effort
- to dream lucidly is just that it's not always easy to get into the right
- frame of mind in the first place. Hence the "effort" required.
