- I need a source for 8 bit linear CODECs and LPC chips (linear predictive
- compression) I'm prototyping my own secure voice telephony.

- Apparently the bandwidth with an 8 bit ADC sampling narrowband audio at 7khz is
- too fast for todays technology. With LPC you can compress it down to 9600 baud.
