  19. Alien3 an "action slash flick"? Perhaps that's why you didn't like it.
  20. *Aliens* was an "action slash flick", but A3 seemed to me to be closer
  21. to, umm, drama(?) - the focus was not really on the action but the way
  22. the characters reacted to the situation. The way the largely unarmed 
  23. humans took on the alien and won (just), and that they did so despite 
  24. the fact that they thoguht they had no chance was more interesting than
  25. a straight action/shoot-em-up - particularly since that's what we saw
  26. in Aliens.

  28. Anyway, I rather liked A3, although it was not the best of the three. 
  29. I don't think it was ever intended as a clone of the second movie - and 
  30. I suspect it would have been worse if it had.
