- Alien3 an "action slash flick"? Perhaps that's why you didn't like it.
- *Aliens* was an "action slash flick", but A3 seemed to me to be closer
- to, umm, drama(?) - the focus was not really on the action but the way
- the characters reacted to the situation. The way the largely unarmed
- humans took on the alien and won (just), and that they did so despite
- the fact that they thoguht they had no chance was more interesting than
- a straight action/shoot-em-up - particularly since that's what we saw
- in Aliens.

- Anyway, I rather liked A3, although it was not the best of the three.
- I don't think it was ever intended as a clone of the second movie - and
- I suspect it would have been worse if it had.
