  18. That's really too bad, because without it, it turns the movie from actually
  19. meaning something (kind of-- the moral is "killing is bad", something not too
  20. many people would argue with), into simply "Spinal Tap" with a serial killer
  21. instead of a rock band.  The main "point" of the movie is lost, really.
  22. Without this scene, I don't think you can shift your judgement of the killer
  23. as easily.  I dunno, maybe I'm just being stupid.

  25. As I posted before, the directors were there afterwards in Toronto and I found
  26. it amusing that a lot of people didn't get the point and they were offended
  27. by the rape scene, yet they laughed heartily at the dozens of killings.  But
  28. then again, the fact that not everyone "got it" perhaps justifies the scene's
  29. removal.

  31. Anyway, it would still be worth watching, for sure.  I'd really like to see
  32. it again, actually.
