  22. It probably would be fair to say that WASP's(especially those  of 
  23. the New England old-money variety ) 
  24. have also produced more than their share of financial
  25. criminals. I would expect that at times their have even been financial 
  26. mafia's operating that were exclusively WASP and some may even still
  27. exist, but I tend to think that most have been absorbed by
  28. "multi-cultural" mafia's.

  30. It would also probably be fair to say that blacks, Poles, and Hispanics
  31. other than Cubans produced fair less than their share of financial
  32. criminals.

  34. If you want to look at privileged elites in this country right now,
  35. from a standpoint of examining ethicity you
  36. really need to look at two groups: WASP's and Jew. Certainly, Cubans,
  37. East Indians, and certain other Asian groups have gained a lot of
  38. ground, but these are still the  two largest groups that have political,
  39. financial, academic and economic power in America today.

  41. I tend to think that it is an important question to ask to what extant
  42. each of these groups have acted in their own interest to the detriment
  43. of others-and whether each group has pathologies that are peculiar to their
  44. particular ethnicity.  I also tend to think that this is a taboo o
  45. subject in the academic institutions of today-which is one of the
  46. reasons why the subject gets relegated to folks like Gritz. IMHO, most
  47. of the comments of Mr. Frank have served to reinforce this taboo rather
  48. than to create a more productive discourse.
