  24.   A course in logic should be required for everyone posting on
  25.   Usenet.   *It is up to the person making the positive assertion
  26.   to provide the evidence*.  The lack of proof against something 
  27.   is not evidence for that thing's existence (for the simple
  28.   reason that there is simultaneously a lack of evidence against
  29.   many, mutually exclusive conclusions in any set of possible 
  30.   statements about something.  E.g., I do not have evidence that
  31.   the buttons on the uniform of the UFO pilot are not blue.  I 
  32.   also have no evidence that they are not red.  I also have no
  33.   evidence that he (it, they, etc) is/are not naked.  Et cetera.)

  43.   This is idiotic.  There is positive proof, in the form of well
  44.   designed studies, that tobacco causes cancer and respiratory
  45.   problems.   There is no equivalent to this for a "Jewish Mafia".
