  37. In fact Tom Valentine is so skilled at this that I have found it
  38. impossible to detect and would not know it was there if Chip Berlet
  39. hadn't been kind enough to point this out for us. In fact Tom very
  40. cleverly cuts off callers who take a racist tact to their conversation.
  41. How would I have known he had such an ulterior motive without Chip's
  42. help.  Of course my having some Amerindian heritage and a Jewish
  43. nephew by marriage to boot may cause me to find racism more objectionable
  44. than others.  But what I abhor perhaps even more are unjustified
  45. character assassination attempts.

  54. So L. Fletcher Prouty is listed as one of Chip's dangerous extremists
  55. who appeared on Radio Free America.  With the appearance of his name
  56. I think we start to get closer to the real reasons why Radio Free
  57. America is being jammed and is otherwise under attack.  Prouty, you
  58. will recall, was the chief technical advisor for the courageous
  59. Oliver Stone who brought us the movie JFK which did such an outstanding
  60. job of informing the American people of the attack on their freedoms
  61. by conspirators in high places.  I would challenge anyone to read the
  62. first thirty pages of Prouty's latest book "JFK: The Assassination of
  63. John F. Kennedy, Vietnam, and the CIA" and claim that this courageous
  64. and honorable patriot is in any way a fascist/Nazi type.  In fact,
  65. after seeing Prouty's respect for the Kennedy's policies it would be
  66. difficult to assert that Prouty is even a conversative, much less
  67. some sort of weird extremist.

  69. What Prouty does make crystal clear is that the government of the
  70. United States is now far removed from the hands of the people.  I can
  71. readily understand why the New World Order bunch would vehemently
  72. object to the likes of Colonel Prouty.  Hence I can understand why
  73. these same people would object so much Radio Free America which is
  74. not afraid to host such speakers.

  84. is this simply not supposed to be a topic for open discussion in
  85. our media?  Without expressing agreement or disagreement with the
  86. proposition, I think any reasonable person could agree that such
  87. a topic can certainly be discussed in a free press.  Or is it not
  88. PC?

  90. Let's face it.  The mainstream media is now in the hands of a few
  91. professional news handlers who are well set up to manipulate us into
  92. following like bleating sheep whatever Desert Sham or escapade they
  93. wish to lead us into.  We are fortunate that there is still some
  94. alternative press left.  It is where we will most likely get the
  95. news.  Without Radio Free America the INSLAW matter or Iraqgate
  96. could by now be dead issues.  They may die anyway if some alternative
  97. press does not help keep them before enough of the American people
  98. to make a difference.  I personally don't care if I get a news story
  99. from Radio Havana, the BBC or Radio Free America if it can be backed up.
  100. It is incresingly likely that you will not get much of the really
  101. important news and editorial insights from our mainstream media.

  103. I am personally quite thankful for Radio Pacifica, the Christic
  104. Institute and Radio Free America which provide such valuable service.
  105. I certainly don't want to join in the attack on the remaining shreds
  106. of our once free press.
