- Ted, if you really think that when the politically powerful find
- themselves across a luncheon table from one another they have
- nothing better to talk about than social chit-chat, I suggest you
- have a sheltered view of human nature. This would be like suggesting
- that COMDEX participants do nothing but attend the scheduled sessions,
- that no contacts are made, deals hatched, etc.

- A CFR meeting is like a "trade show" or "orofessional conference" for
- those whose business is the exercise of power as such. To assume they
- do not use the opportunity to "network" is simply not credible.
