- -> Following the recent discussions of The Brittas Empire, it might me
- -> worthwhile discussing other TV appearances of Chris Barrie.
-
- -> His 'big break' was at The Comedy Store in London where most of this
- -> generation of alternative comedians began. He appeared in a series called
- -> The Entertainers on Channel 4 about 1983 in the episode 'Inner City Fairy
- -> Tales' also starring The Oblivion Boys and Debbie Bishop.
-
- -> He appeared in Stomping On The Cat on Channel 4 in January 1984 in which
- -> he did 'barbed impressions' of Ronnie Corbett and Kenneth Williams amongst
- -> others.
-
- -> He was in the pilot episode of Saturday Live on Channel 4 which screened
- -> on 12 January 1985.
-
- -> Before and between series of Red Dwarf he lent his voice to Spitting Image
- -> doing people such as Ronnie Corbett, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Prince Andrew.
-
- -> Then more recently, The Brittas Empire.
-
- -> If anyone can add to this list, please do.
-
- -> Cheers

- I'm sure he's done loads of other things, but he appeared in an episode of
- The Young Ones. Can't remember which, but it was the bit where they cut into
- a scene which had some British convicts being packed off to Australia - he
- was the captain looking for a ship's concubine ("A small spiky mammal")
-
- Was he also in "Al Fresco"? Does anyone remember this - it was a series of
- shows on ITV about 10 yrs ago, with lots of sketches by the likes of Stephen
- Fry, Hugh Laurie, possibly John Sessions etc. Can't remember much about it
- now.
