  10. Feather takes off from her place on the mantlepiece to visit her RL friend
  11. in the rafters.  Awhile later, she flutters down from above to give the
  12. callahaners a report:

  14. "OK, folks, it seems like my posting on Rainbow Crow's lack of motivation
  15. had some of the healing effect she was after.  Today R-Crow DID get moving
  16. a bit, went to her local community college and got herself an appointment
  17. with a counselor she knows and trusts.  R-Crow is planning on using this
  18. counselor as a way to keep herself diciplined...  if she has to report
  19. to a counselor every week on whether or not she has made any progress,
  20. it's going to keep her on the straight and narrow better.  It should help.

  22. If there is anything on Rainbow Crow's side, it's the fact that she is
  23. (by choice) spouseless and childless, so there is no one else but herself
  24. being affected by her lack of income/motivation problem."  Feather lets
  25. out a big "WHEW!!"  "I would hate to think about how complicated this would
  26. be if she had a kid or two on top of these problems... geez, the kid would
  27. be in not exactly a happy situation under the circumstances.

  29. Also on R-Crow's side is the fact that she had almost no debt, and no car,
  30. heck, not even credit cards.  She likes her tiny studio apartment, and 
  31. ultimately that, food and phone bill are the only things she had to pay
  32. for in her life.  That makes financial recovery a LOT easier!

  34. I'll keep you guys posted on her progress."

  36. Feather stops and thinks.  Then she grins up at the shadow in the rafters,
  37. and addresses the crowd.  "Heck if I am going to keep YOU guys posted, that
  38. means the Rainbow Crow is going to have a LOT of people to answer to, and
  39. to keep her moving..."

  41. A <SQUAWK!> comes from the rafters.

  43. Feather hears it, understands, looks up and answers:  "'Oh, no!' yourself,
  44. you iridescent birdbrain!  You are going to have to answer not only to that
  45. counselor, but to me and all the people here at Callahans.  We are not
  46. going to let you slide one bit, oooooooh, no!   Keep moving or ELSE, R-Crow!"
