- Somebody sent me the words for John Lennon's hit song "Imagine". Lennon
- and his song are before "my time", but they seem to hint at atheism.
- Was he an atheist?
-
- Can you think of any examples of explicit atheism expressed in pop
- songs or other pop culture works?

- p.s.
- Imagine there's no heaven
- it's easy if you try,
- no hell below us
- above us only sky.
-
- Imagine all the people living for today.
-
- Imagine there's no countries
- it isn't hard to do,
- nothing to kill or die for
- and no religion too.
-
- Imagine all the people living life in peace.
-
- You may say I'm a dreamer,
- but I'm not the only one.
- I hope some day you'll join us,
- and the world will be as one.
-
- Imagine no possessions,
- I wonder if you can,
- no need for greed or hunger,
- a brotherhood of man,
-
- Imagine all the people sharing all the world.
-
- You may say I'm a dreamer,
- but I'm not the only one.
- I hope some day you'll join us,
- and the world will live as one.
