  23. They are like Tangynikan cichlids in this.  The closer you
  24. come to the lake's conditions, the happier they are.  I don't
  25. think you need to hit it on the head, but certainly keep the pH
  26. above 7.8, and make sure the water is hard.

  35. They like a large tank.  They are very active fish, and will be in
  36. constant motion.  I have only heard a bit about keeping them, but
  37. one guy mentioned that he bought an automatic feeder, so that they
  38. would get fed 5x a day - they like to eat.
