- I had a similar experience with a pleco dying that I had bought to put in my
- swordtail tank. I was unsure as to whether it would be ok in the brackish
- conditions, especially after reading numerous posts and articles about them
- being salt intollerant. But, was stupid and believed the fish shop owner.
- Well, after 3 days or so, the said pleco was dead. And of course no more
- going to that store. If you have that much salt in the tank, you might want
- to look for non-pleco algae eaters to stock it. On that subject, what are
- good algae eaters for brackish or fairly heavy salted fresh water tanks? I
- think I heard of somehting called a blackfin shark (dont know if that's
- right). All of you more experienced netters please advise.
- Thanks,
