- Which part of our visible spectrum freshwater fishes are least
- sensitive to is a question that interests me as well. I would like to do
- night-time observations of nocturnal South American knife fishes without
- disturbing them.

- They do react to even dim red light. I have heard that blue light
- works better than red, and I plan to try this. Does anyone have experience
- with blue vs. red light?
