  47. Just a question. Could it be that because we have evolved with natural
  48. background
  49. radiation, we can tolerate the levels that we receive from natural sources,
  50. but
  51. that any additions to this will be more lethal to us? The point being that
  52. these
  53. emissions would seem to come on top of any background stuff, and could
  54. therefore
  55. push us over a dosage which evolutionarily speaking, we have been able to deal
  56. with.
