  18. The Asia-Pacific Engineering Journal (APEJ) provides within the rapidly
  19. changing Asia-Pacific region a unique source of information on current
  20. international research activities and trends in technology. It aims to
  21. keep its readers fully briefed with major papers, reports and reviews on
  22. state-of-the-art technologies and products. The journal is published in
  23. separate parts that cover the disciplines of Electrical, Mechanical,
  24. Civil, Chemical and Industrial Engineering. Part A is devoted to
  25. Electrical Engineering, and covers the four main areas of Communications
  26. Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control and Automation, and
  27. Microelectronics.

  29. The December 1993 issue of Part A of the APEJ is devoted to Communications
  30. Engineering. The issue will be a special issue concentrating on the field
  31. of High-Speed Networking, and original contributions in all aspects of
  32. this field of research are now solicited. In particular, relevant topics
  33. of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  35. * Broadband ISDN and ATM networks
  36. * Gigabit/s networking
  37. * Lightwave networks
  38. * High-speed transport protocols
  39. * Management of high-speed networks
  40. * Flow and congestion control in high-speed networks
  41.  
  42. Prospective authors are requested to submit four (4) copies of their
  43. manuscripts, written in English, and including a 100-word abstract, to the
  44. following by 1 April 1993.
