- #The earlier posting about the Remote X clients is in a similar realm of my
- #problem for the day. I am trying to make my PC (running Pathworks for DOS
- #TCP/IP) run DECWindows with my VAX running VMS 5.5 and Multinet 3.1.
- #
- #I have this working using the DECnet transport on my PC, and it is working
- #using MacTCP on the Macintosh workstations.
- #
- #The error I get on the VAX console is:
- #R_SERVICES: Socket read error %MULTINET-W-ECONNRESET
- #
- #Also, I started the Pathworks software on my PC and all tests passed when I
- #ran X11DEBUG.
- #

- This is a common problem with Pathworks. Check to see if you have REXEC enable
- under MultiNet. If so, disable it since the Pathworks client will attempt to
- speak UNIX if it detects that there is an REXEC server on the remote machine.
- This is due to the fact that UCX at the time didn't support an REXEC server.
