- Q & A panel discussion: Alpha Migration from VAX.
-
- The Alphas are coming, the Alphas are coming. Now what? Is VMS really VMS?
- What did it take to port a major software product to Alpha? For answers to
- these, and many more questions you might have--don't miss this LUG meeting.
- We have put together a special panel of "Alpha experts" to help answer these
- questions. On hand will be two developers from SAS Institute Inc., who tell
- all about just how easy [or hard] it really was to port 6 million lines of C
- code from a VAX to an AXP system. In addition, others will be on hand to
- answer questions about system management and performance issues (related to
- the AXP space.)
-
- Don't miss this opportunity to find out what these AXP systems are all about,
- and don't forget to bring your questions for the panel. Additionally, we will
- have a AXP system on hand for you to play with! See you in two weeks.
