  23. If you are looking for a top-notch secondary work on these authors, and
  24. on political philosophy in general, you may want to check out
  25. _History of Political Philosophy_ (3rd Ed, U of Chicago Press), edited by 
  26. the late Leo Strauss.

  28. In each chapter a specialist considers a major political philosopher, 
  29. from Plato to Heidegger, in twenty-five to sixty pages.  A set of
  30. recommended readings is included at the end of every chapter, so it is 
  31. very useful for both review and for planning your study of new authors.
