- Summary: reading group/s for Michel Serres, Pierre Bourdieu
- Keywords: Serres, Bourdieu
-
- Yesterday I was demonstrating the Internet/UseNet news-groups to philosopher
- Kerri Lindo (Middlesex University, London UK) and she wanted to post a
- message asking whether anyone was reading the works of the above-named
- French philosopers.
-
- Thought I'd re-post to clarify and improve the chance of responses. We were
- deep in a discussion about clubs with rules (Bourdieu's work on how academic
- departments exclude those people who have to learn their social rules,
- rather than arriving with them unconsciously inculcated) so it seems
- appropriate to clarify the origin and attribution of the previous
- message.
