- Although too busy to post to t.b, Mark. had enough time Friday afternoon
- to drop by my office with two sixes of his latest homebrew. It's a
- lovely opaque color, like coffee, with a thick and dense head, like its
- brewer. Ostensibly a doppelbock, I found it to be surprisingly (and
- pleasingly) less sweet than I had expected; it does have a caramel
- fragrance to it, though, which doesn't come out in the taste unless you
- let your glass sit on the counter and warm up, at which point it tastes
- a little like flat Coke. Cold, however, it reminds me of Celestial
- Seasonings' Roastaroma herb tea -- but with a serious alcohol kick.
- This brew is clearly designed for feeding to unsuspecting young women
- for nefarious purposes; I'd estimate the alcohol content to be in the
- "malt beverage" category, at least.
-
- One thumb up (the other's holding a bottle). Good stuff, Gooley!
