  11. NCAR has two "art galleries", one near the library and one in the
  12. cafeteria.  Last month, the library gallery had some really bad
  13. new-agey stuff with medicine wheels and feathers and wolves and
  14. bears and alien-looking creatures dancing in rings.  This month,
  15. it is obviously a new year, with new people on the art-selection
  16. board, because the library gallery is full of these weird painted
  17. boxes with paint-splattered cut-outs in geometric shapes, illuminated
  18. by neon tubes inside the boxes and little incandescent bulbs behind
  19. the shapes, some of which are on all the time, and others which go
  20. on when a button on the case is pressed.  I got the price list from
  21. the front desk.  I've only got to figure out how many I'll get, and
  22. where I'll put them.

  24. The cafeteria gallery is still full of 4'x5' American Primitive style
  25. paintings of roosters by someone named "Skok."
