  17. millions of years of evolution have finally converged to produce a culture
  18. that enjoys the sight of gratuitous violence committed against members of
  19. their own species. what the fuck went wrong?

  21. evolution has made me, a beautifully inept grad student, able to write and
  22. think worthless thoughts which do nothing to advance my position in this
  23. loser food chain. i should be perpetually trying to get ahead so that i
  24. might procreate as much as possible and spread my genome around the globe.

  26. instead i walk around my apartment wondering what to do while i wait for
  27. my meal to be cooked. i have no t.v. i have a stereo but it is not usually
  28. enough to occumy my mind unless i am really tired. i'm not really tired. i
  29. didn't want to read more science papers (although i should) so i sit down
  30. and write this drivel. i need more water now.
