  37. With embarrassment I must confess that in what pitiful archives I am able
  38. to maintain, I could not find the articles.  Doug emailed me a nice, polite
  39. request to post them, and I can't find them.  Guess I should have searched
  40. before I spoke.

  42. I will have to proceed from memory, and as I recall the article in question
  43. said that the writer wished pro-life women would get raped and then get
  44. pregnant.  Many people responded, some polite, some flaming.  I was critical
  45. but not inflammatory, saying that the writer's comments were highly rude,
  46. divisive and obnoxious.  He got enough flak that he posted another article,
  47. attempting to explain the first one.  Of course, it only got him in further
  48. trouble.  I responded to that as well, in an article called "I understand,
  49. and you're *still* off base," in which I again said his comments were totally
  50. uncalled for.

  52. No, I know this doesn't help.  But it's better than nothing, or avoiding the
  53. request.
