  43. I'm reading alt.dads-rights, but it looks like this "conversation"
  44. is cleared up, anyway:

  46. I disagree that ensuring equality is the same as AFFIRMATIVE action.  
  47. Ensuring that new hires are in the right "proportions" is nowhere 
  48. near as active or affirmative as declaring that companies must have 
  49. the given "proportions" overall.  You propose the former but reject 
  50. affirmatively hiring disproportionately more minorities/women until 
  51. an overall balance is reached.
