- You're trying to claim a firmly gray area is black-and-white. What
- about a known average cost of food per child? A known average cost of
- clothing per child? Are those transfers to the mother?

- I agree, ponies aren't necessities. I don't think private bedrooms
- are necessities, either -- but I don't think it's unreasonable to
- expect a well-off father paying child support for the increased rent.

- You can't classify everything into absolute NECESSITIES and absolute
- luxuries (such as ponies). There is a middle ground: private school
- (in an area with mediocre public ones), books, one's own bedroom, etc.
