  25. Phil was somewhat right.  (If I've guessed correctly, you mean the
  26. procedure for late term abortions including sucking out the innards of
  27. the fetus's head to shrink it and let it fit through the birth canal
  28. without too much stress.)  The New York Times article I read claimed
  29. that there were three doctors in the U.S. who regularly perform third
  30. trimester abortions; two cut the fetus up and bring it through the
  31. birth canal and the third used the procedure Phil mentioned instead
  32. (partially because, I believe, it revealed the extent or lack of the
  33. fetus's physical deformities).

  35. I've posted this at least once to talk.abortion in explaining how a
  36. woman might be better able to tolerate a late term abortion than
  37. either birth or Caesarian.

  44. And I ultimately think that such solution as can be reached on the
  45. abortion issue (I think probably no significant anti-abortion laws,
  46. but some pro-birth ones) can *only* be reached through honest
  47. disagreement.
