- Phil was somewhat right. (If I've guessed correctly, you mean the
- procedure for late term abortions including sucking out the innards of
- the fetus's head to shrink it and let it fit through the birth canal
- without too much stress.) The New York Times article I read claimed
- that there were three doctors in the U.S. who regularly perform third
- trimester abortions; two cut the fetus up and bring it through the
- birth canal and the third used the procedure Phil mentioned instead
- (partially because, I believe, it revealed the extent or lack of the
- fetus's physical deformities).
