- Folks,
- In the most recent issue of the Nation, (Jan 18), Andrew Kopkind has a long
- article on life in post-soviet Russia. One of the topics he discusses is
- sexuality, feminism and the new openness about gay stuff there. He met
- with a group of young men who get together to talk about AIDS and here's
- an interesting quotation ...
-
- At the top we were met by a slight, blond teenager with a peach-fuzz
- beard. "My name is Viktor. This is my wife," he said, nodding to
- a heavily made-up woman in jeans and high heels, with a great deal of
- hair. "And this," Viktor added, "is my husband." A man in his mid-
- 20s, with a dark stubble of whiskers stepped forward.
-
- Enjoy!
