  23. Reality pioneer, Jaron Lanier, who keynoted CSUN's 1992 conference on
  24. "Technology and Persons with Disabilities," will conduct a three hour
  25. Q&A session on the potential of VR for persons with disabilities at
  26. the Los Angeles Airport Marriott Hotel on Century Boulevard, one mile
  27. from LAX, from 1-4 PM.  This will be Mr. Lanier's only appearance at
  28. the conference.

  30. Jaron's session is one of 21 preconference, tutorial sessions to be
  31. conducted on the first day (Wednesday, March 17) of the four day
  32. conference, which ends on Saturday, March 20.  The registration fee
  33. for preconference sessions is $75 each if payment is received prior to
  34. March 8, $95 per session thereafter.  Most people register for two
  35. sessions on the Preconference Day, taking one three hour tutorial in
  36. the morning, one in the afternoon.  Those wishing to attend Mr.
  37. Lanier's session only may do so at a cost of $75.

  39. More than 200 one-hour General Sessions will be presented, March 18-20
  40. on all aspects of technology and persons with disabilities.  There are
  41. a number of special sessions on Virtual Reality.  Leaders in the field
  42. who will be making presentations include Dr. Walter Greenleaf of
  43. Greenleaf Medical Systems, Ben Delaney, publisher of CyberEdge
  44. Journal, and Terry Middleton of SRI.  The cost of attending the
  45. general sessions of March 18-20 is $225.

  47. Other special features include presentations from governmental leaders
  48. from the People's Republic of China and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
