  10. As promised, here is some data on the DC-X test program. About nine 
  11. test flights are planned.

  13. 1. Flight series 1 will test:
  14.   * Blended control (automatic flight with ground override)
  15.   * Vertical landing and ground effects
  16.   * Systems performance
  17.   * Qmax: ~10 PSF
  18.   * Altitude: ~600 feet AGL

  20. 2. Series 2:
  21.   * Aero performance verification
  22.     - Power-On drag
  23.   * Expand performance envelope
  24.   * RTLS demonstration
  25.   * Qmax: ~60 PSF
  26.   * Altitude: ~5,000 feet AGL

  28. 3. Series 3:
  29.   * Rotation maneuver to validate aero model
  30.   * Increasing Q at rotation
  31.   * Reacquisition of GPS
  32.   * Propelland management
  33.   * Qrot: ~20-95 PSF
  34.   * Altitude: 20,000 feet AGL
