  19. 7th Nordic Symposium on Computer Simulation
  20. September 3 - 5, 1993
  21. Espoo, Finland

  24. SCOPE
  25.  
  26. This symposium continues the series of meetings rotating in the Nordic 
  27. countries. It focuses on  computer simulation methods and techniques 
  28. (such as the Monte Carlo and molecular dynamics) and their applications 
  29. in physical,  chemical and biological sciences. 
  30.  
  31. We welcome participants from all countries.
  32.  
  33. PROGRAM
  34.  
  35. The program will consist of both invited and contributed talks, and there 
  36. will ample time for poster sessions and demonstrations. 
  37. Among the topics of interest in the 1993 symposium are
  38.  
  39. o membranes and amphifilic aggregates
  40. o materials simulations
  41. o solvation phenomena
  42. o protein folding and conformations
  43. o complex phenomena
  44. o clusters
  45. o algorithms and visualisation
  46.  
  47. The tentative list of invited speakers includes

  59. The symposium will be held  at the Center for Scientific Computing (CSC) 
  60. in Otaniemi, the campus of Helsinki University of Technology,  eight 
  61. kilometers from downtown Helsinki.  Accommodation will be in nearby, 
  62. reasonably priced hotels.

  66. Those interested in receiving further information are requested to fill 
  67. in the enclosed preliminary registration form. We also invite submissions 
  68. for contributed talks and posters.

  72. The second circular will be mailed in February 1993, containing the final 
  73. registration and accommodation reservation forms, instructions for writing 
  74. abstracts, the program outline, and travel instructions.

  76. The deadline for applications and abstracts is June 1, 1993.  
  77. The final circular will be mailed in July, 1993.
