  14.      Mathematica for Windows will not run on the currently shipping
  15. version of OS/2 (version 2.0).  However, it WILL run on OS/2 v 2.1, which
  16. is supposed to be released this quarter.  Anyone can get a copy of the OS/2
  17. 2.1 beta on cdrom, directly from IBM, for $15.
  18.      I have been running MMA-Win 2.1 on the OS/2 2.1 beta for a few days
  19. now.  Installation is easy.  First configure WinOS/2 to come up in
  20. enhanced mode.  Make sure it is allocated plenty of dpmi memory.  Then run
  21. the Mathematica install program from inside WinOS/2.
  22.      I'm still trying to solve a few problems.  Most importantly, I can't
  23. seem to change the default fonts.  But it is a major miracle that the
  24. program runs at all in the OS/2 environment.  People said that this was
  25. impossible.
