- Value in what terms? People often consider various indications of relative
- worth of the US dollar. For example you can consider the 'purchasing power'
- which is done by tracking the price of a basket of consumer goods, or
- the relative strength to other currencies (compute an average exchange
- rate against major currencies like the Pound, Yen, Deutschmark and others)
- or against its historical value (using all sorts of things based on the
- yield curve).

- friendly economist will help magnify this problem to its true, intractable
- size...
