  21. This kind of "one size fits all" vocational advice really irritates
  22. the hell out of me.  It makes scores of unwarranted assumptions
  23. (especially in this case), the most objectionable of which is that it
  24. fails to take into account the ability of specific individuals to
  25. compete successfully in a difficult job market.  It assumes that the
  26. recipient of the advice is essentially "average".  You need to face
  27. the reality that in every field there are people at the top of that
  28. field, and they will make their own success.
