  11. Though I am associated with the Department of Geology and the new
  12. Department of Marine, Estuarine, and Environmental Science, I have a
  13. bit of familiarity with METO.  All I can say is that they are very
  14. active and energetic in research - and the DC area provides many
  15. different opportunities - especially as Goddard Space Flight Center is
  16. not even a 5 minute drive from campus... and NOAA, USGS, NWS, etc..
  17. are all in easy reach and quite willing for collabarative research.
