- I have a large quantity of Cellular Band Pass Filters available. The pass
- band is 860-900 MHz (easily passes the output frequency of the cell system).
- These are ideal for use with outdoor antennas that bring in many unwanted
- signals. I have not yet measured the pass/reject attenuation, but if you
- are interested, email and I'll test one.
-
- The filters are manufactured by muRata-Erie and were originally intended
- for use in the construction of cellular telephones. They are 1.5 cm
- square, 0.9 cm thick, and have a mounting flange on the bottom that
- extends 0.5 cm away from the metal enclosure. The input and output
- leads are each 0.5 cm long. These are a 3 terminal, passive device.
- They are also uni-directional (marked on case). Although designed for
- surface mount, you can solder coax directly to the device or bend the
- leads 90 degrees and insert into a PC board.
-
- I suppose they could be used with scanners to reduce desense from
- unwanted signals by placing them in an RF tight case with BNC
- connectors in and out. This could then be attached to the antenna
- port when desired, but of course it would be unnecessary since NOBODY
- listens to those frequencies with a scanner. But since these are
- intended to go inside cellular telephones, I'll just assume anyone
- interested is designing / mfg'ing cell fones!
-
- Price is $4/ea. plus $1.50 to ship inside the US by US Mail. (I can
- send about 6 of these for the $1.50; they're lightweight) I'm selling
- these because I have enough to last a lifetime, especially since I
- don't listen between 860 and 900 MHz! For info - reply by email.
