- As for what's wrong with the set, if the raster is just plain blank on
- VHF only, it's probably the oscillator (transistor) as there is a common
- RF amp. transistor used for both UHF and VHF. One other remote possibility
- is the "B+ voltage" provided to the VHF tuner but in about 12 years of
- repairing TVs, I've seldom seen a fault in this circuit.

- When working on VHF tuners, do not move any parts or bend any leads or
- it will detune the tuner, perhaps out of the range of its fine tuning.
- Keep all leads on replaced components SHORT as you're working in a very
- sensitive high frequency circuit.
