- I want to build a 'carrier detect' circuit to go on my phone line. I
- have several computer systems and several modems, but all on the same
- line, so only 1 is in use at any time (1 at the most). The modems are
- 1200/2400 baud. I would like to have a single indicator that would
- indicate the presence of a carrier on the phone line. I _DON'T_ want a
- 'phone line in use' indicator; I already have one. I want a new
- indicator for when a modem is active. Can I use a portion of some modem
- IC, just to use it as a carrier detector? I would appreciate any tips or
- schematics. Thanks!
