  25.         David, chill out. There is nothing in Phil's response that
  26.         indicates a confrontational attitude. He is clearly open to
  27.         the possibility that his implementation of MD5, RSA or IDEA
  28.         are faulty. On the otherhand, it's harder to accept a
  29.         suggestion that these methods are inherently weak. Phil is
  30.         right that this needs some reproducible experimental data.

  32.         Unfortunately, the text is so bad that there's no way to be
  33.         certain just what Sidelnikov _is_ saying. It's hardly
  34.         convincing if you consider that, if David is right, these are
  35.         the people that have spent their lives decrypting US, British,
  36.         and Canadian messages. Surely one of them, or someone they
  37.         know, must actually speak the language?

  39.         Can Sidelkov have such an ego that none of his people had the
  40.         courage to suggest improvements to his text? Given David's
  41.         description of the man, this is hardly likely.

  51.         from shilling for RSA and spend it with Sidelnikov. You could
  52.         bring to him our real concern and help the rest of us
  53.         understand what he is trying to warn us about.
