- The insurance may not cover camping, but I don't think it's a training issue.
- First, outdoor training is part of Webelos Leader training. It's required to
- be a trained Webelos leader. Second, not all Scout leaders are trained or have
- been trained reciently.
-
- Our council sponcers both Cub Scout and Webelos resident camp in the summer.
- Webelos are encouraged to camp. It is required to be a parent & Cub activity.
- At Webelos Outdoor Training, we were told we parents could double up and bring
- two boys. But, they didn't recommend the leaders double up because they were
- ususally too busy keeping the parents out of trouble.

-
- I think camping for Cub's is a good idea. We have taken our first year Webelos
- camping once so far. It was a council activity. We are looking at taking them
- camping, fishing or hiking in the spring. (Most of our boys are in baseball,
- so time will probably prevent us from doing all three.)
