- Two suggestions:
-
- 1) Pour a bunch of B-B's (available at most any sporting goods store
- or gun shop) into the nose and then drop a glob of epoxy glue on it
- to hold it in place.
-
- 2) Press a piece of heavy kitchen-type aluminum foil into the inside
- of the nose to get the shape. Carefully remove the foil and place it
- in some sort of heat-resistant support (modelling clay works OK but
- it melts a little; I'm about to try sand.) Now fire up your trusty
- soldering iron and start dripping molten solder into the aluminum
- 'mold'. When you have filled it up, let it cool (!) and ... voila!
- A custom molded solid metal weight for your model. Just superglue
- it into place.
-
- Enjoy,
- Richard.
