- I have used them on several planes now. Both ones being recovered
- and new planes. I use them on rudder, elevator and aileron. You need do nothing
- special for them. I find it helps to go ahead and draw a line down the MIDDLE
- of the control surface as well as the mating surface. This gives you a guide as
- you iron down the hinge. I also bevel the edge of the control surface except in
- the case of a top mounting aileron or flap.
- Cut them a little oversize, iron them on, and then trim. Hit the ends with a
- drop of CA to ensure they do not unravel and you are done. It may take slightly
- longer to use this method, but I have never seen them fail.
- Unlike some CA hinges I have used!
