- (This is my last post for today, I promise.)
-
- I was having no end of trouble with the backplate of my Goldberg (4-pin) 2.5"
- spinner slipping (APC 11-6 prop, OS 50 FSR motor). It didn't help that I needed
- a spacing washer between the drive washer and the spinner backplate to give
- cowl clearance. I tried everything, roughening the surfaces, cutting grooves
- with my dremel tool, etc to try to increase friction, but I still could barely
- even tighten the prop nut without the prop slipping out of position on the
- backplate. When I did think it was right the prop would still come loose after
- one flight.
-
- I finally hit on the idea of throwing the dremel tool away, but keeping the
- thin cut-off disks and putting one on each side of the spinner backplate. These
- things grip like crazy!
-
- See you later,
- Max
