-
- As far as I understand, that is precisely what it is. My information came
- from _Round & Round_, the Tulsa Glue Dobber's newsletter. Apparently there
- is also a special hemi-head version of the venerable Fox .35 available now
- too. (It must be custom machined..)

- The fellow mentioned in R&R is Brian Holzwarth of Cedar Knolls, New
- Jersey. He and his brother Carl own a business that deals in model
- airplane stuff. They can be reached at:

- Bill> And, where do you get the pointed needle valve which still
- Bill> fits the original Fox stunt spray-bar?
-
- That is a mystery to me. They seem to talk about the tapered NV like it
- uses the stock spray bar, but this might not be the case.
-
- Bill> I've always found the Fox flattened needle valve works fine
- Bill> as long as it never gets bent. I cut the needle valve short
- Bill> and put a 90 degree bend in it. This way it avoids meeting
- Bill> terra firma. Besides, it's the cheapest spray bar assembly
- Bill> you can buy. But, I do wish the original Super Tiger
- Bill> assembly was still available. The one from Kustom Kraftsman
- Bill> is okay but very expensive and you have to use his needle
- Bill> valves (also expensive).
-
- Cheap, plus available. The real problems we had with them I believe were due
- to air leakage around the hole through the engine case. I've seen more
- than one Fox .35 that wouldn't start and run without fiddling with the NV
- magically "fixed" with a short section of fuel line jammed on the spraybar
- assembly to seal that hole. I too doubt if the flattened NV is really the
- problem, although I suspect the tapered NV has a finer adjustment range.
-
- I personally like the OS FP needle valves, with the spring and knob
- removed. They are fairly cheap ($5 - $6), available, and consistent
- quality. I had bad luck on the KK assembly on a Dixon-modified OS-40FPS
- once and have never messed with one since, although they appear to be of
- fine quality. (They also require drilling the case, which ruins it for
- smaller diameter NVs..)
