- No. You don't know. You should have left it at that.
- A bad O2 sensor will cause the computer to go into 'open loop'. In
- open loop, the fuel mixture is based on pre-programed info instead of
- current engine conditions. Usually, the fuel mixture is a bit richer
- than ideal, which can indeed result in excessive fuel consumption.
