- I would pump the tires to a pressure between the manufacture recommendation
- and the tire maximum pressure. I currently use the following method to
- maintain the pressure: pressure the tires as desired with an accurate gage,
- drive to a level ground, measure the distances between the rimes and ground,
- and mark the distances on the window scraper of the car. Usually there is a
- difference between front and rare tires. When the tire pressure is in doubt,
- check the rime to ground distances with the scraper. For the perfectionists,
- the marks should be calibrated at extreme temperatures and adjusted as the
- tires ware.
