- I can't reply via E-mail, so I'm posting back here. The vapor
- cannister can affect mixture(rich) because it recovers vapors from
- the gas tank as well as the carb. Since the cannister is hooked up
- to vacuum it can causem problems. If the cannister control valves
- leak then then vapors will be constantly drawn back into the engine
- and burned, mainly at idle when it ISNOT supposed too be. The other
- controls I'm refering to are the THERMAL VACUUM SWITCHES and
- possible solenoids that may be somewhere inline with hoses to the
- cannister...
- BTW, usually disconnecting the mixture controll features of a carb
- will result in the carb defaulting to a constantly full rich
- condition.
