  33. I own a 1990 Amigo with about 30,000 miles. It's a 2WD.
  34. I've been very happy with it so far.  The only problem 
  35. I've had has been squeaky (sp?) rear brakes.

  37. The only options I got on mine (I have the S, not the
  38. XS) were the stereo, power steering, and the 2.6 Liter
  39. engine.

  41. I read someone asking about hardtops.  I've noticed a few
  42. Amigo's around with hardtops, but I did not know they were
  43. an option when I bought mine.  I like having the soft top
  44. because I have it off the entire summer and since i live
  45. in an apartment, it's easy to store (folded-up under my
  46. bed).  The only problem I've had with having an open 
  47. vehicle is that on several occasions I've found empty
  48. beer cans which had been tossed into the back.

  50. The soft top takes a few minutes to get on and off, but seems
  51. fairly sturdy ( I've ripped it a little bit on the corners on 
  52. the inside fold where it tends to hang-up if you're not careful
  53. when you open the tailgate.  I have not had any problems with
  54. it leaking.

  56. If you are concerned with it's off-roading capability, I
  57. believe it was reviewed in Offroad Magazine in either late
  58. '89 or the first part of `90. I think they were testing a 
  59. 2.6 liter 4WD on the Rubicon Trail.  I think the main jist
  60. of the article was that they were happy with it's 
  61. performance, especially if you consider the price.
